Living a purposeful life is necessary, but you won’t identify it when you are going through the crisis of your early childhood; all we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us. Everybody’s purpose in life is different because everybody’s happiness is connected with something else; you have to blend that happiness into inspiring the world you want to see in future. Your purpose defines who you are and how to make a dent in the universe. This inspiration is connected with positive psychology techniques to help you grow and achieve your spiritual growth and fulfillment.
As a child, I was not lucky enough to experience the luxuries of a perfect living place. That struggle was a blessing, and it made me give my best in everything because the hunger to become something and achieve something was my purpose then. Due to a financial crisis within my family, I had to take personal responsibility from a young age. I started earning as a construction laborer at $ 1.17$ per hour to finance my education. After graduating from the university, I entered and landed my footprint in a radio station towards achieving my Californian dream.
So, the popularity of my voice spread from state to state. The doors of heaven opened for me when the Yuma station owner recognized my Leadership speaking skills and ability to inspire different people across the state. He offered to run my radio station in Los Angeles, where I managed it for over a year. Then, later down the road, I shifted my gears towards running my advertising agency.
After earning and achieving the purpose of becoming someone, my hunger to inspire the youth grew, and it is still growing. And I will be doing that until I die. So, at the age of 76, I earned a master’s degree in Leadership, where I merged my vision to teach thoughtful Leadership to guide future generations they study personal growth strategies, find life balance and overcome life challenges.
Meanwhile, I am on a beautiful journey of mindfulness and contentment because when I look back, every dot I stuck into serves a unique purpose that created me into the beast I am right now.
“The dots you have connected until now, and you will be in future, define your whole journey.”
Life’s purpose is just like a collection of goals that serve your vision, and vision always serves the community. It means how many ways you can contribute to the younger generation that will follow your direction and tune their way to serve different purposes because life without purpose is boring.
You may always get short-term and long-term happiness during your lifetime; short-term happiness can be anything like the favorite food you crave, the perfect sex you have with your better half and watching your favorite movie; it all makes your dopamine release for a short period. Long-term happiness can satisfy you and make your mindset happy in your duties because you automatically connect that task with your end goal. i.e. to serve that purpose, you are making efforts in your entire life span.
In the end, I want to recommend some mind-practicing books that you should be reading because the content you are consuming right now defines the mindset you will apply in your future. I recommend reading picture books about honesty and picture books on responsibility for kids. For young leaders, I recommend reading books related to transformational Leadership and conflict resolution for leaders. These books can make you emotionally strong and ethically robust.
